Environmental Management
Our services do not have a great impact on the environment., but we have considered the main environmental impacts of our activities and we are measuring and reducing these as part of working towards ISO 14001 accreditation.
We do not fund cars for staff. Our only vehicles are our Mobile Inspection vehicles. We have recently reduced their carbon footprint by using hybrid powered vehicles for our mobile inspections. Powered by electricity and diesel, these vehicles significantly reduce CO2 emissions.
We use recycled paper and we recycle where possible: uniforms, paper, card, cans, bottles, toner cartridges, batteries & telephones. At our Head Office we have avoided installing vending machines. We have recently installed a mains water filter and fountain to replace the delivery of water bottles. This uses less power, removes deliveries and creates less waste. Our office areas do not use air conditioning systems.
Most Lynx staff are based on client sites. We actively seek to share best environmental practice across the sites where we operate and participate fully in our customers initiatives as well as bringing some suggestions of our own. We have a lock down patrol in our building which turns off all unused lights and appliances and we offer this service to clients.
Charitable Contributions
We provide used uniforms to Charity Shops in the London area. We also support our local charity initiatives such as the hugely successful Yellow Umbrella Day at Chiswick Park that supports childrens' charities.
Work in the community
Lynx have worked in partnership with our Customer at Chiswick Park to support local projects such as graffiti removal from community areas and waste land clean-up days.
