Staff profile
We asked a member of the Lynx staff, Steve Hosgood, to tell us about his experiences at the company.
Steve Hosgood - Mobile Inspector
I have worked for Lynx since 2001 and thoroughly enjoy visiting all the officers as a Mobile Inspector. Is good to be able to help them resolve any little niggles and provide a welfare service.
The close-knit way of working at Lynx helps to ensure that our staff are known by name rather than number and feel a valued part of the company.
I think that Lynx is more conscious of the needs and wishes of the officers than bigger companies and overall is more "officer friendly".
Mike McRoberts is one of the Lynx Operations Managers working at the sharp end of service delivery with our officers and clients.
Mike McRoberts – Operations Manager
My experience in the industry has mostly been in big companies, both as a Site Security Manager for a large City company and as an Operations Manager.
I have found that Lynx maintain a much higher ratio of Operations Managers to staff, which allows us time to focus on the quality of the operation, visit all our customers and staff regularly and ensure that our teams are properly trained for their duties.
It is refreshing to see how our staff care about the work they do and in turn how well supported they are by both our customers and Lynx management structures.
Everad Dobson transferred to Lynx under the TUPE regulations.
Everad Dobson – Security Officer
I transferred to Lynx in 2006 and I really noticed the difference in support. Whereas I used to be left alone a lot, I now regularly see my Operations manager and the Mobile Inspectors visit every couple of weeks.
If I have any issues, the Control Room is excellent.
The uniform is smart and I feel Lynx are really trying to be the best
