Staff profile
We asked a member of the Lynx staff, Ian Tanner, to tell us about his experiences at the company.
Ian Tanner - Shift Manager
Having been involved at Lynx for the past three years I have found that the close-knit environment that comes from working with a smaller security organisation has really proved beneficial.
I am one of four shift managers responsible for the daily management of Lynx's business operations. We all (not just the shift managers) know the security personnel employed and we are treated very much as individuals - not just a number. Having spent a short time at one of the Top Three Security Organisations (where I personally felt undervalued) it is refreshing to come to work and feel an integral part of the team.
The work is demanding, but enjoyable and the rewards are that the stimulating environment and overall team work mean that the job gets done professionally and with a degree of fun.
Paul Morris is one of the Lynx Operations Managers working at the sharp end of service delivery with our officers and clients.
Paul Morris – Operations Manager
After 22 years in the RAF, I worked in private security with the big firms Group 4, Reliance and Chubb.
What I like about Lynx is the friendly and supportive environment. There is a closeness between all levels from the MD to our officers.
Our customers and officers are visited regularly by our Mobile Inspectors, Operations Managers and Directors.
Everad Dobson transferred to Lynx under the TUPE regulations.
Everad Dobson – Security Officer
I transferred to Lynx in 2006 and I really noticed the difference in support. Whereas I used to be left alone a lot, I now regularly see my Operations manager and the Mobile Inspectors visit every couple of weeks.
If I have any issues, the Control Room is excellent.
The uniform is smart and I feel Lynx are really trying to be the best
